New Cab Floor for Katie

John decided that Katie deserved a new cab floor, as the original was looking rather scruffy. It’ll only take a few hours…

Two and a half weeks later, it is all finished. Mind you, it does look very nice.

By the way, does anyone know what the large cast iron bulb is under the floor on the passenger side? It has a (siezed) screw with butterfly handle on one end, and a single banjo-fitting on the bottom. The butterfly handle obviously came off, as it is secured with a chain to stop it getting lost.

About lowdhamstation

I am a director of a small (and very technical) business, a committed Christian, a Reader (and preacher) in my local village church, husband to my dear Frances, am interested in heritage railways, and heritage fire engines. I currently run a group that displays wartime and early post-war fire engines at 1940s re-enacting events and steam engine rallies. O yes, and vintage cars and motorbikes, and we live in a Victorian railway station.
