Woodhall Spa 17-19 July

Last year we had a very successful air raid on the Golf Hotel, and plans are afoot to repeat it again this year, only better.

We also plan to have a night-time display during a break in the Blitz Dancers / Major Swing event. This is likely to be a heavy rescue using the Turntable Ladder of an airman whose parachute gets caught in a tree or roof.

If you would like to take part, please get in touch. We are looking for:

  • ARP wardens
  • Police
  • WVS
  • Doctor
  • Ambulance and driver
  • Uninjured evacuees
  • Casualties (will be ‘done’ by our casualty makeup team to look like they have had a very nasty accident).
  • and, of course, NFS firemen.

In a big event like this, we need to know the names of all participants in advance, even just walk-on parts, because of modern health & safety and insurance requirements. There will be a mandatory safety briefing for all participants on the Friday afternoon, repeated on the Saturday morning for those who cannot make the Friday.
