NFS pumps in the Belgium Ardennes

“My name is Georges, from small village thirty Km south of Liège.

“Some original AFS/NFS appliances are now mine.

“They were owned/used by the fire brigade of a nearby town although no-one there actually remembers using them so I assume they were parked in the warehouse where I found them a very long time ago.

“In the lot are two FF500 Godivas, two Beresford/Stork on their own trailer, more than fifteen suction hoses of various lengths and sizes, strainers, and a few more items.

“No-one here seems to know what Godiva or Beresford means.”

About lowdhamstation

I am a director of a small (and very technical) business, a committed Christian, a Reader (and preacher) in my local village church, husband to my dear Frances, am interested in heritage railways, and heritage fire engines. I currently run a group that displays wartime and early post-war fire engines at 1940s re-enacting events and steam engine rallies. O yes, and vintage cars and motorbikes, and we live in a Victorian railway station.
